Andrew S. Janet is the Managing Principal at Janet, Janet & Suggs, LLC, Attorneys at Law, where he represents victims of negligence and wrongful conduct. His practice focuses on personal injury law. sexual abuse, high-stakes medical malpractice, environmental litigation, professional negligence, and class actions. Andrew also serves as Co-Chair of the firm’s Sexual Abuse Division. His work includes major claims involving institutions, clergy abuse, and complex corporate wrongdoing. He brings prior experience from sophisticated commercial litigation and investigations involving significant financial stakes nationwide for injured clients.
Andrew earned his J.D. from New York University School of Law, where he was a Robert McKay Scholar and Executive Editor of the NYU Law Review. He became the first NYU Law alumnus to publish two student articles in the Law Review. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree, cum laude, from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. During law school, he worked as a summer associate at Cleary Gottlieb and interned with the New York State Attorney General Claims Bureau.
Andrew has played a leading role in sexual abuse litigation involving survivors and major institutions. His work for 139 plaintiffs in litigation against the University of Southern California contributed to an $852 million resolution involving allegations against former gynecologist George Tyndall. He has represented survivors in claims involving priests, churches, dioceses, bishops, and orphanages. He also has experience with fraud-related litigation, including matters connected to Bernard Madoff, and he has spoken publicly on sexual abuse litigation strategy and advocacy issues.
Andrew S. Janet is admitted to practice in Maryland, New York, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania.
