Alvin J. Katzman

Alvin J. Katzman is the managing senior partner of Katzman & Katzman, P.C., based in Indianapolis. Since 1989, he has led the firm with a focus on delivering insightful counsel and trusted advocacy in banking, real estate, contracts, and transactional business law. Mr. Katzman provides legal representation to lending institutions, business owners, and individuals in a wide range of complex financial and corporate matters. He is known for his pragmatic legal advice and for helping clients structure transactions that minimize risk and advance strategic goals.

Mr. Katzman earned his J.D. from Indiana University School of Law in 1976. He also holds a B.S. with distinction from Indiana University, where he was twice named an Indiana Foundation Scholar and selected as the Outstanding Marketing Student at the Kelley School of Business.

With a career spanning more than four decades, Mr. Katzman has developed a depth of experience in areas including mergers and acquisitions, commercial lending, corporate governance, and property transactions. He regularly lectures on key industry topics such as foreclosure law, loan documentation, and fair debt collection practices.

Mr. Katzman is admitted to the Indiana Bar and the U.S. District Courts for both the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana. His longstanding affiliations with the Indianapolis and Indiana Bar Associations reinforce his professional presence in the legal community.
