About

Allison Gerli is a family law attorney at The Center for Family Law and has practiced exclusively in family law since joining the firm in 2013. Her work includes divorce, child custody, child support, modifications, adoptions, and guardianships. Allison is trained in mediation, collaborative divorce, and guardian ad litem work, allowing her to help families consider negotiated approaches while remaining prepared to litigate when contested issues involving children, finances, or parental rights require court intervention.

Allison earned a J.D. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 2012 with an emphasis in family law and received a B.A. in English from Westminster College in 2009. Her legal education gave her focused preparation for domestic-relations practice, while her undergraduate studies strengthened communication and writing skills. She has continued advanced training through the AAML Institute for Family Law Associates and Harvard’s Program on Negotiation, expanding her work in settlement and conflict resolution.

Allison handles complex divorce matters, custody and support disputes, modifications, adoptions, and guardianships. As a certified family mediator, she can assist parties seeking structured resolution outside traditional litigation, and her collaborative-law training supports problem-solving approaches when clients want to reduce conflict. She has also served in leadership roles with the Collaborative Family Law Association in St. Louis, including as president, reflecting sustained involvement in methods designed to resolve family disputes constructively.

Allison Gerli has been recognized by Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers as a Rising Star and by Best Lawyers for family law, collaborative law, and mediation. She also has received professional recognition through the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and contributes pro bono service through Legal Services of Eastern Missouri.
