His work includes litigation involving consumer protection claims, securities fraud, employment disputes, and other high-stakes matters that require careful case strategy and strong advocacy.
Allen earned a B.S.B.A. from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1991. He later received his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 1994. His academic background in business and law supports his work in complex commercial disputes, investor claims, and class action litigation. This training helps him evaluate financial issues, legal risks, and litigation strategies for clients facing serious claims.
Allen has handled significant matters involving payment protection claims against major credit card issuers, helping injured consumers pursue meaningful recoveries. His securities litigation experience includes serving as lead counsel in federal securities fraud class actions, including matters involving Semtech, Lernout & Hauspie, NewPower, DQE, Ashanti Goldfields, Central Parking Corporation, Keyspan, and Rural Metro. He also previously practiced in complex commercial litigation, labor and employment litigation, and business transactions.
Allen Carney is licensed in Arkansas and admitted before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fifth, Eighth, and Eleventh Circuits, and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas. He is a member of the American Bar Association Litigation Section, the Arkansas Bar Association, and the Pulaski County Bar Association.
