About
Alison Cimino is a dedicated immigration attorney with over two decades of exclusive experience in the field. She provides legal representation in family-based immigration, naturalization, consular processing, and humanitarian cases involving victims of crime and domestic violence. Her work ensures clients gain lawful status and achieve long-term stability in the U.S.
Alison graduated with clinical honors from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2003. Since then, she has remained committed to immigration law, using her education and experience to serve individuals and families facing complex legal challenges. Her fluency in Spanish allows her to communicate effectively with a broad range of clients.
In 2009, Alison established her own immigration law practice, dedicated to providing compassionate, client-centered service. She regularly assists with fiancé, religious, performance, and cultural exchange visa applications. She also prepares hardship and inadmissibility waivers for clients required to leave the U.S. before legally returning—a type of case she finds especially meaningful.
Alison represents clients in Immigration Court, defending against removal and advocating for relief through cancellation of removal and asylum. Her courtroom experience enhances her ability to support clients in urgent, high-stakes situations.
Alison is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the Immigration Law Section of the New Mexico State Bar. In addition, she has served as a consultant for the University of New Mexico School of Law’s Clinical Law Program for over ten years, supporting the next generation of legal professionals.
With her experience, empathy, and deep commitment to justice, Alison Cimino helps clients navigate the immigration system and reclaim their futures with confidence. Her practice remains a trusted resource for individuals and families across New Mexico and beyond.
