Alicia McElwaine-Leto

Alicia McElwaine-Leto is the founding partner of Peace Love and Law, where she advocates for individuals facing complex legal challenges. Her practice includes criminal defense, immigration matters, and civil litigation, with a focus on protecting rights, guiding clients through difficult processes, and delivering clear, effective legal representation.

Alicia attended Concordia University Irvine on an athletic softball scholarship and a Dean’s Academic Scholarship. In 2010, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree after double-majoring in Political Science and History. She later received her Juris Doctor degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2014.

After law school, Alicia worked at a consumer protection firm concentrating on federal consumer litigation. She represented clients against Fortune 500 companies, developing a strong understanding of complex legal issues. This experience shaped her ability to manage demanding cases and advocate effectively for individuals facing powerful opponents.

Alicia has resolved hundreds of client disputes with banks, bill collectors, and credit agencies, both before and after litigation. She has been counsel of record in over one hundred civil cases and has extensive courtroom experience handling felony and misdemeanor matters, including representing clients wrongfully accused of serious crimes.
