Alexandra H. Oglesby is an attorney with Campbell DeLong and has been associated with the firm since January 2007. Her practice includes business and corporate law, estate planning and probate, agricultural law, commercial litigation, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, and taxation for individual and corporate clients in related legal matters.
Alexandra earned a B.S., with High Honors, from Guilford College in 2003. She earned a J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Mississippi in 2006 and an LL.M. in Taxation, cum laude, from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2010, supporting her focused tax practice.
Alexandra regularly advises individual and corporate clients on the tax results and structure of business transactions. Her work includes mergers, acquisitions, sales, reorganizations, and tax-deferred exchanges. She helps clients plan transactions with care, understand tax issues, and navigate business matters with clear legal guidance and thorough review.
Alexandra also assists clients with estate planning and probate matters, including drafting wills and trusts and handling estate probate. Her practice extends to audits by the Internal Revenue Service, IRS appeals, U.S. Tax Court adversary proceedings, ad valorem tax protests, and Private Letter Ruling requests and related matters.
Alexandra supports clients with applications for 501(c)(3) status, ERISA issues, and other regulatory matters. Her professional background includes service as a prosecutorial extern for the Fourth Circuit Court District in Washington, Sunflower, and Leflore Counties in 2006, while she was in law school gaining practical experience and training.
