About

Jane Cabbiness is an associate attorney at Bottner & Associates, Attorneys at Law, who represents clients in bankruptcy law, family law, criminal defense, civil litigation, and personal injury matters. Her practice focuses on helping individuals address legal challenges through preparation, strong advocacy, and practical solutions. She works closely with clients to understand their goals, explain legal options, and guide them through each stage of the legal process. Through research, analysis, and effective communication, she seeks fair outcomes while protecting the rights and interests of the people she serves.

Jane earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Flagler College, building a strong foundation in government, public policy, and legal systems. She later earned her J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law, where she graduated near the top of her class and received Order of the Coif honors. During law school, she strengthened her legal skills through academic study, practical training, and courtroom exposure. Her education prepared her to handle complex matters with professionalism, accuracy, and sound judgment consistently.

Jane gained legal experience through a federal judicial clerkship within the Fourth Circuit before entering full-time practice. She also worked with the WVU Innocence Project Clinic, where she contributed to matters involving case review and legal research. In addition, she completed a summer internship with the firm, gaining experience across several practice areas. These opportunities helped her develop writing, investigation, and advocacy skills. They also provided insight into the legal issues that affect individuals, families, and communities across West Virginia.

Jane Cabbiness is committed to providing dedicated representation and helping clients move forward with confidence. She approaches each case with attention to detail, respect for the client’s concerns, and a commitment to achieving results. Whether assisting someone facing financial difficulties, family disputes, criminal charges, injury claims, or other legal challenges, she works to protect their interests and explain the process clearly. Jane continues to build her practice by serving clients with integrity, professionalism, and a strong commitment to justice.
