Alan H. Garber is the founding attorney of The Garber Law Firm, P.C, established in 2001 with a mission to provide top-tier legal representation for individuals seeking justice against powerful corporations and government entities. With over two decades of litigation experience, Alan focuses on employment law, civil rights, and complex business litigation in state and federal courts across Georgia and beyond.
Alan earned his Juris Doctor from Rutgers University Law School in 1994, where he served as an editor on the Law Review. He also holds an M.B.A. with honors from Southern Methodist University (1986) and a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania (1980). His academic foundation supports his deep understanding of both legal and financial issues in litigation.
Alan’s career began with a federal clerkship for U.S. District Judge Sharon Lovelace Blackburn in Alabama, followed by private practice roles at Sutherland Asbill & Brennan in Atlanta and Gordon Silberman Wiggins & Childs in Birmingham. In these positions, he handled civil rights claims, employment disputes, and commercial cases throughout the Southeast.
Since founding his firm, Alan H. Garber has concentrated on contingency-fee employment law cases, including unpaid wages and overtime, commission disputes, FMLA claims, whistleblower protection, and workplace discrimination based on race, sex, age, or religion. His achievements include class action victories, such as a major wage-and-hour case against SunTrust Bank, widely reported in Law.com and Atlanta media outlets.
Alan is a respected legal voice, frequently invited to speak at employment law seminars for attorneys.
