Adam S. Cohen

Adam S. Cohen is an attorney at Siskind Susser’s Memphis office, where he exclusively practices immigration and nationality law. He focuses on employment-based immigration and is particularly skilled at representing physicians, researchers, and academic professionals navigating the U.S. immigration system.

Adam earned both his Juris Doctor (cum laude) and Bachelor’s degree (summa cum laude in Spanish) from the University of Florida. He was a Book Award recipient in law school, served on the Florida Journal of International Law, and received Pro Bono and Community Service Certificates. He was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and Golden Key as an undergraduate and completed a thesis with Highest Honors.

Adam handles many petitions and applications, including J-1 waivers, H-1Bs, O-1s, TNs, EB-1s, National Interest Waivers, and PERM labor certifications. He also manages Schedule A green cards and business—and family-based immigration processes, guiding clients through every stage with precision and care.

Before joining Siskind Susser, Adam worked as a judicial law clerk and attorney advisor with the Orlando and Memphis Immigration Courts. He later practiced at a private firm focusing on deportation defense and family-based immigration, gaining litigation experience that complements his current employment-based practice.

Adam is a recognized thought leader in physician immigration. He is a member of the International Medical Graduate Taskforce, American Immigration Lawyers Association, NAFSA: Association of International Educators, and a former board member of the Federal Bar Association’s Memphis Mid-South Chapter.
