Adam Owensby is an associate attorney at Seibert Law & Mediation, where he represents clients in family law, criminal law, and landlord-tenant law. A Greenville native, Adam has built his career serving South Carolina communities with informed legal guidance and a commitment to achieving fair outcomes. His practice is shaped by diverse experiences in law, business, and technology.
Adam earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where he also developed proficiency in German, Hebrew, and Arabic. He later attended the Charleston School of Law, earning multiple merit awards for community and pro bono service. During law school, he served as Associate Editor-in-Chief of a dispute resolution journal, led a symposium on foreclosure resolution, and volunteered as a Guardian ad Litem.
Adam’s professional experience includes clerking with family law attorneys, working in the Solicitor’s Office for the Ninth Judicial Circuit, and providing technological support to law firms. After graduation, Adam co-founded a law firm with a fellow Charleston School of Law graduate, handling cases in divorce, custody, adoptions, criminal defense, landlord-tenant disputes, and personal injury. A certified South Carolina Circuit Court Mediator, he also served as co-chair of the Charleston Mediation and Meeting Center.
In 2025, Adam joined Seibert Law & Mediation, where he continues to advocate for clients in sensitive and high-stakes matters. Known for his thoughtful approach, he draws on his multifaceted background to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds and provide effective representation.
Beyond his practice, Adam Owensby actively contributes to the Charleston community. He received the Shomer HaMasoret (Guardian of Our Heritage) Award, volunteers with environmental and animal welfare groups, and participates in local synagogue communities. His dedication to service extends from the courtroom to the broader community.
