About
Ada B. Pozo is a Miami immigration attorney at Pozo Goldstein, LLP, bringing decades of diverse legal experience to her practice. A former Miami-Dade County court judge, she presided over thousands of civil and criminal cases, gaining unique insight into how the law impacts families and communities. She is also a Florida Supreme Court-certified mediator and mentor judge.
Ms. Pozo earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Anthropology from Florida International University, along with a Certificate in Latin American & Caribbean Studies. She later received her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law, where she joined Phi Delta Phi Honor Society and won the ATLA Mock Trial Competition.
For over a decade, Ms. Pozo has focused her practice on complex immigration matters, representing individuals in removal proceedings, asylum cases, family-based petitions, employment visa applications, and naturalization proceedings before USCIS and the immigration courts. She has served on the Board of Directors of the South Florida Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and has lectured at legal conferences hosted by CABA and Catholic Charities.
Before entering private practice, Ada B. Pozo worked as a trial attorney with the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office, where she litigated serious criminal cases, and as a forensic social worker. She also hosted the national Sirius XM radio program Acceso Legal and has appeared as a legal analyst on major networks, including ABC, Fox News, and Univision.
Today, Ms. Pozo leverages her judicial, litigation, and advocacy experience to deliver comprehensive, compassionate, and effective representation in all areas of immigration law.
