Aaron Murdock

Aaron Murdock is a partner and managing partner of Mayer Brown’s Salt Lake City office. His practice focuses on Corporate & Securities, Emerging Companies & Venture Capital, and Mergers & Acquisitions. He advises technology companies, emerging growth businesses, venture capital firms, private funds, and other clients on formation, governance, financing, strategic transactions, and securities matters throughout different stages of business development.

Murdock earned his J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School, where he worked on the Harvard International Law Journal. He received his B.A. summa cum laude from the University of Utah. His academic background supports a practice involving complex corporate structures, securities requirements, financings, acquisitions, and investment vehicles. He applies that training when advising founders, investors, management teams, and private funds on significant business decisions.

Murdock’s corporate practice includes entity formation and structuring, corporate governance, private equity and debt financings, venture capital investments, joint ventures, and mergers and acquisitions. He also advises on the formation and operation of private investment funds, including hedge, venture capital, private equity, and real estate funds.
