Margot Gordon is Of Counsel at Monahan Law Group, LLC, where she concentrates her practice in estate planning and administration. Ms. Gordon earned her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School. She also holds a Certificate in Estate Planning from the LLM Program in Tax at The John Marshall Law School and a B.A. in Communications from the University of California, San Diego, where she graduated with Provost Honors.

Ms. Gordon brings extensive experience in all aspects of estate planning, including business succession planning, charitable giving strategies, tax-efficient wealth transfer, and tailored planning for families with special needs. Before joining Monahan Law Group, LLC, Ms. Gordon was a longtime partner at a boutique estate and tax planning firm. She has also held roles with the Cook County Public Guardian’s Office, Hull House Association, and the City of Chicago Law Department.

A recognized authority in her field, Ms. Gordon has authored key estate planning and asset protection materials for the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education.
