Xheneta Ademi

Xheneta Ademi is a partner in Washington, D.C., focusing on trademark and copyright law. She guides clients through clearance, prosecution, maintenance, enforcement, settlement, and litigation. She also handles appeals, oppositions, and cancellations before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Her practice supports strong and lasting brand protection.

Xheneta earned her law degree from Marquette Law School and remains active on the Marquette Law School Alumni Board. Her legal education built the foundation for her focus on intellectual property law and her commitment to serving clients with practical, business-minded guidance.

Xheneta advises clients across consumer products, video gaming, healthcare technology, medical devices, and franchise industries. She manages trademark portfolios and develops strategies for global protection. She also protects businesses against unfair competition, including false and misleading advertising, and investigates online trademark and copyright infringement.

Before entering private practice, Xheneta served at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She examined thousands of applications and worked within the Trademark Innovation Lab and the Office of the Commissioner for Trademarks. She addressed digitally altered specimens, reviewed special filings, and briefed examining attorneys on TTAB decisions.

Xheneta’s experience at the USPTO included representing the agency in TTAB appeals and serving on its trademark appeals moot court panel. She now litigates inter partes opposition and cancellation proceedings and ex parte appeals, and initiates special ex parte reexamination and expungement proceedings under the Trademark Modernization Act of 2020.
