William J. Stogsdill is a family law attorney at The Stogsdill Law Firm, P. C. in Wheaton, Illinois. Will earned his Juris Doctorate from John Marshall Law School in 2009. While there, he served on the Trial Advocacy and Dispute Resolution Honors Board and the Moot Court Honors Council. He also competed in trial advocacy events and led a national competition team while attending law school.

Will previously served as an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Criminal Prosecutions Bureau of DuPage County from 2009 to 2012. During that time, he prosecuted more than 100 cases and earned a 91 percent conviction rate in jury trials, gaining strong courtroom experience that shapes his litigation skills.
Will has received several honors for his professional work. He was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers from 2016 through 2020 and earned the Best Under 40 recognition from the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys in 2015. He also received Outstanding Service to the Office of the State’s Attorney in 2012.
William J. Stogsdill is admitted to practice in Illinois and Florida and remains active in several legal groups, including the Illinois State Bar Association and DuPage County Bar Association. He also serves as a board member for Ambassadors for Vision, supporting efforts to restore sight in local communities through outreach.
