William Ingaldson

William Ingaldson is an Anchorage trial attorney who represents individuals and businesses in civil lawsuits and complex disputes. His practice covers personal injury claims, product liability, and allegations involving professional breaches of fiduciary duty. He works with clients at different stages of litigation, from reviewing claims and preparing evidence to presenting matters before juries. His experience includes disputes involving substantial financial exposure and difficult questions of legal responsibility.

William graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1983 and is admitted to the bars of Alaska and Minnesota. He began his career as an Assistant District Attorney in Alaska, supervising the misdemeanor section before leading a unit focused on major economic crimes and corrupt offenders. He also established the prosecution office’s specialized arson unit. Those assignments provided extensive experience with trial preparation, witnesses, and contested evidence.

William later served in the antitrust section of the Alaska Attorney General’s Office before moving into private practice. His early civil work focused on maritime matters, insurance defense, and subrogation. He subsequently tried cases involving personal injury, defective products, and professional duties. His representative litigation includes defending a major oil spill lawsuit arising from the Glacier Bay incident, one of the country’s earliest large oil spill trials.

William Ingaldson established his firm in 1994 and has tried more than 100 jury cases in Alaska. He has served as lead trial counsel in disputes with values ranging from several thousand dollars to more than $100 million. His background in both criminal prosecution and civil litigation supports his approach to factual investigation, case evaluation, and courtroom advocacy. He continues to represent clients across Alaska in contested civil matters. His cases have taken him to trial courts in communities across the state.
