About
Andrew M. Juneau is an associate attorney in Juneau who advises nonprofit corporations, Native housing authorities, and Alaska Native corporations and their affiliated entities. His practice covers corporate governance, real property, business matters, and litigation. He also represents individual clients facing commercial and property disputes. His work involves helping organizations evaluate legal obligations, resolve questions about operations, and protect their interests when a matter becomes contested.
Andrew earned a B.S. from the University of Minnesota and a J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School. During law school he worked with a federal magistrate judge on administrative appeals and pretrial proceedings, and later assisted a federal defender with post-sentencing litigation. After graduating, he clerked for Alaska Superior Court Judges Philip M. Pallenberg and Marianna C. Carpeneti. These assignments developed his familiarity with judicial procedures and written advocacy.
Andrew previously worked with Simpson Tillinghast Sheehan, P.C. before joining its successor firm, Faulkner Banfield Law, P.C. His work includes nonprofit law, municipal law, commercial and residential landlord-tenant matters, general litigation, and business transactions. He appears before Alaska state and federal courts and tribal courts, and he is also authorized to practice before the Internal Revenue Service. His matters often combine organizational needs with regulatory or property questions.
Andrew M. Juneau serves on the Alaska Bar Association Board of Governors and previously held a board position with the University of Minnesota’s legal services office. He belongs to bar associations in Alaska, Juneau, and Minnesota. His work with tribal entities, nonprofits, and private businesses gives him experience with clients operating under different governance structures. He combines litigation training with a practice focused on practical legal issues for Alaska organizations.
