About
William “Bill” Carr is a respected trial attorney with a reputation for integrity, professionalism, and courtroom success. He represents clients in personal injury, medical malpractice, commercial litigation, and employment disputes. Bill has spent his career helping people through life-changing injuries, business crises, and institutional negligence.
Bill earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri–Kansas City in 1992, where he was a member of the National Trial and Moot Court Teams and the Order of the Barristers. He also graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from William Jewell College in 1989. He has since become one of Missouri’s top trial lawyers.
Bill has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America (2020–2024) and Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers (2012–2021). His accolades include the prestigious Thomas G. Strong Trial Attorney Award (2022) and the Thomas J. Conway Award (2005), both honoring his ethics, skill, and advocacy. Bill has successfully tried cases in Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and New York. His legal work includes multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements for clients harmed by negligence, including in trucking accidents and medical malpractice. As a Rule 17 certified mediator, Bill also facilitates resolution in personal injury and commercial cases across Missouri.
In addition to litigation, William Carr is deeply involved in professional leadership. He served as President of the American Board of Trial Advocates’ Western Missouri/Eastern Kansas Chapter and the Eastern Jackson County Bar Association. He also teaches as an adjunct professor at UMKC School of Law and regularly presents at legal seminars.
