William B. Nash

William B. Nash is a highly skilled intellectual property attorney with more than three decades of national and international litigation experience. He focuses on protecting his clients’ rights in high-stakes disputes, including patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, and unfair competition cases across numerous U.S. jurisdictions and before the ITC.

William began his academic path with a Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1980. He later earned his J.D. with distinction from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 1988, where he served as Articles Editor of the St. Mary’s Law Journal and was a member of the John M. Harlan Society and Phi Delta Phi.

Throughout his legal career, William has helped clients navigate infringement risks and build effective intellectual property strategies. He works with companies to protect and monetize their innovations while minimizing the risk of costly litigation. William has managed more than 4,000 trademark filings worldwide and has served as lead counsel in over 100 Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) proceedings.

Recognized by his peers and the legal industry, William holds the prestigious AV® Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell®. He has consistently been named in The Best Lawyers in America from 2019 to 2025 and was honored as “Lawyer of the Year” in 2023.
