W. Michael Frazier is a partner at Frazier & Oxley, L.C. in Huntington, West Virginia. His legal practice focuses on estate litigation, criminal defense, and employment law, representing both employers and employees in disputes. With over 35 years of experience, he has tried numerous cases to verdict and serves clients across both state and federal courts.
Mike earned his B.A. in English from Vanderbilt University. He received his J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law.
Since joining the firm founded by his father in 1954, Mike has continued a legacy of skilled and committed legal advocacy. He is admitted to practice before all West Virginia state courts, both the Northern and Southern District federal courts, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Tax Court, and the Federal Court of Claims.
Mike has held leadership roles within the legal profession, serving on the Board of Governors of the West Virginia State Bar since 2009 and as its President from 2015 to 2016. In 2010, he was selected by the chief federal judge as the Criminal Justice Act (CJA) Panel Representative for the Southern District of West Virginia. He has also been a certified FINRA arbitrator since 2006, resolving disputes involving brokerage firms.
