After receiving an Honorable Discharge, he returned to the University of Florida to complete his studies and later earned his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law. At Stetson, he served on the Stetson Law Review, was admitted to the Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity, and gained valuable judicial experience as an intern for The Honorable Charles Wilson of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
