About
W. Cravens Priest, III, is a Kentucky attorney whose practice focuses on employment law, school law, and workers’ compensation defense. He advises public and private employers, school districts, and organizations on compliance, risk management, and dispute resolution. With decades of experience, he provides both preventative counseling and courtroom advocacy, helping clients address legal challenges efficiently while protecting institutional and business interests.
Cravens earned his J.D. from Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University in 1992. He received his B.S. from the University of Kentucky in 1989. His legal education prepared him for litigation, statutory interpretation, and regulatory analysis. He is admitted to practice in Kentucky and before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
In workers’ compensation matters, Cravens represents employers in claims involving workplace injuries and statutory benefit calculations. Because workers’ compensation law frequently changes through legislation and court interpretation, he closely monitors regulatory updates and case law developments. In employment and school law, he counsels clients on personnel policies, disability accommodations, disciplinary actions, and compliance with federal and state regulations. He also represents clients in state and federal court when disputes proceed to litigation.
W. Cravens Priest, III, is active in professional and community organizations and has been recognized by Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers for his work in employment and workers’ compensation law. He values thorough preparation and attention to detail in every matter. By combining strategic advice with litigation experience, he helps clients navigate evolving employment regulations and workers’ compensation systems with confidence and clarity.
