About
Victor Reyes is an attorney at Youngers Law who represents injured people and families in New Mexico. His practice is focused on helping clients rebuild after serious injuries and on holding institutions accountable when their actions cause harm. He brings a client-centered approach to personal injury matters, emphasizing preparation, accessibility, and clear communication while helping people understand the legal process and pursue compensation and accountability after life-changing events.
Reyes earned his J.D. from the University of New Mexico School of Law, graduating in the top ten percent of his class. He received the Dean’s Award and the Torts Scholar Award. During law school, he worked in the chambers of U.S. District Judge Kathleen Cardone of the Western District of Texas and served as a teaching assistant in Legal Writing and Argumentation and Constitutional Law, strengthening his legal research and advocacy skills.
Reyes previously held senior leadership roles in New Mexico state government. He served as Legislative Director to Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham and later as Deputy Superintendent of the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department. In those positions, he advised executive leadership on legal and legislative matters, negotiated with government officials and other stakeholders, and helped lead statewide initiatives. That experience informs his ability to navigate complex institutions and advocate for individuals facing well-resourced organizations.
Victor Reyes combines litigation training with experience in government, policy, and institutional decision making. His background gives him insight into how courts and public agencies evaluate evidence, legal arguments, and competing interests. His leadership has also been recognized by The Advocate Magazine. In private practice, he uses that experience to help injured clients understand their options, prepare strong claims, and move through difficult legal matters with practical guidance.
