Vanessa I. Peake

Vanessa I. Peake is a bilingual family law attorney at Peake Law Firm in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with more than a decade of legal experience. She handles contested and uncontested divorce, high-asset property division, international child custody, child support, spousal support, and domestic violence protection orders. Her practice also includes family mediation, kinship guardianship, and Guardian ad Litem appointments for children and vulnerable individuals. She later served as legal director of Enlace Comunitario, a New Mexico nonprofit supporting Spanish-speaking domestic violence survivors, helping them pursue divorces, custody arrangements, and restraining orders. Her notable case results include securing an emergency protective order in March 2025 and resolving a complex property division dispute with a favorable custody arrangement in July 2025. In November 2025, she also obtained a custody modification that awarded primary custody to her client.

Vanessa I. Peake received the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys’ 2024 Top Ranked Under 40 Family Law Attorneys recognition. A member of the State Bar of New Mexico, she has completed training in complex asset division, parenting coordination, high-conflict mediation, and a 40-hour divorce and family mediation program. She has also appeared as a legal educator on Telemundo, explaining legal issues to Spanish-speaking audiences. Across Bernalillo, Sandoval, Santa Fe, and Valencia counties, she combines mediation-focused strategies with courtroom advocacy when negotiation cannot protect her clients’ interests.
