Valerie Johnson Brown is the founding attorney of Valerie Brown Law, LLC, where she represents clients in family law, estate planning, estate administration, and criminal defense. Known for her compassionate approach, she believes that listening without judgment is at the heart of effective advocacy. She combines empathy with legal skill to deliver meaningful solutions for individuals and families facing significant life challenges.
Valerie Brown earned her B.A. in English with a minor in African American Studies from the University of Alabama. Following graduation, she worked as an ESOL assistant in Texas before pursuing her J.D. at Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach. While in law school, she held leadership roles with the National Black Law Students Association and the Virginia Bar Association Law School Council, served on the Dean’s Advisory Board, and was awarded the inaugural Community Changer Award for her commitment to service.
Today, Ms. Brown is an active member of the legal and civic community in Huntsville. She is a certified Guardian ad Litem and volunteers with the Madison County Volunteer Lawyers Program, Christmas Charities Year Round, and the Junior League of Huntsville. Her dedication has earned her recognition as a Mid-South Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2022, underscoring her reputation for excellence and commitment to clients.
At her firm, Valerie Johnson Brown assists clients in divorce, custody, and other family law matters, as well as guiding individuals through estate planning, probate, and criminal defense cases.
