Uma Bansal is the Managing Partner of The Oracle Legal Group, where she leads a diverse legal practice focused on corporate law, intellectual property, and civil rights litigation. With a unique background in engineering and law, Ms. Bansal provides strategic legal solutions for startups, technology companies, healthcare businesses, and entrepreneurs across the country.

Ms. Bansal holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, where she was inducted into Eta Kappa Nu and awarded a graduate fellowship. She earned her J.D. from Boston College Law School, where she focused on corporate law and intellectual property.

Ms. Bansal began her legal career working with top-tier law firms, including DLA Piper, Brinks Hofer, Gilson & Lione, and Freeborn & Peters. As a trial attorney in intellectual property matters, she represented inventors and companies in high-stakes litigation, handling patent filings, licensing agreements, and technology contracts across biotech, software, and consulting sectors.

At Oracle Legal Group, Ms. Bansal offers end-to-end legal services to emerging and established businesses. Her work includes forming corporate entities, drafting complex contracts, managing IP portfolios, and guiding clients through mergers and acquisitions. She also serves as outside general counsel for healthcare providers, urgent care centers, and tech firms, ensuring legal compliance and supporting operational growth.

She has successfully litigated cases involving excessive force, false arrest, malicious prosecution, and First Amendment violations. Her work includes landmark wins in Seipler v. McHenry County and Smith v. City of Chicago, where she fought against racial profiling and police misconduct.
