Uma Bansal is the Managing Partner of The Oracle Legal Group, where she leads a diverse legal practice focused on corporate law, intellectual property, and civil rights litigation. With a unique background in engineering and law, Ms. Bansal provides strategic legal solutions for startups, technology companies, healthcare businesses, and entrepreneurs across the country.

Ms. Bansal holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, where she was inducted into Eta Kappa Nu and awarded a graduate fellowship. She earned her J.D. from Boston College Law School, where she focused on corporate law and intellectual property.

Ms. Bansal launched her legal career at leading law firms such as DLA Piper, Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, and Freeborn & Peters. As an intellectual property trial attorney, she represented inventors, startups, and established companies in high-stakes IP litigation, managing patent filings, licensing agreements, and technology contracts in the biotech, software, and consulting industries.

At Oracle Legal Group, Ms. Bansal offers end-to-end legal services to emerging and established businesses. Her work includes forming corporate entities, drafting complex contracts, managing IP portfolios, and guiding clients through mergers and acquisitions. She also serves as outside general counsel for healthcare providers, urgent care centers, and tech firms, ensuring legal compliance and supporting operational growth.

In addition to her corporate and IP practice, Ms. Bansal is a dedicated civil rights advocate. She has successfully litigated cases involving excessive force, false arrest, malicious prosecution, and First Amendment violations. Her work includes landmark wins in Seipler v. McHenry County and Smith v. City of Chicago, where she fought against racial profiling and police misconduct.
