Travis earned his G.E.D. from the University of Alaska-Bethel before pursuing higher education at Brigham Young University-Idaho, where he studied History and Agriculture. Travis, while in law school, served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Juneal Kerrick in Canyon County. This role allowed him to observe court proceedings and study trial strategies from experienced attorneys. He later worked under a limited law license as a public defender at Mimura Law. There, he tried cases and handled matters in the Domestic Violence Specialty Court. His hands-on experience shaped his approach to negotiation, litigation, and trial work.
