Ms. Armstrong earned a B.A. from Monmouth University in 1988 and a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1991. Her education prepared her to interpret developing workplace laws, advise organizational leaders, and manage disputes involving sensitive employment decisions. She was admitted in New Jersey in 1991 and before the US District Court of New Jersey that year. She later gained admission before the US District Court for the Southern District of New York in 2004 for federal matters.
Ms. Armstrong includes claims under federal and state discrimination, retaliation, wage, family leave, disability, age discrimination, and cannabis laws in her litigation work. She appears before regulatory boards, including wage and hour and unemployment authorities, giving her practical insight into administrative enforcement. Her counseling covers employee handbooks, anti-harassment policies, employment contracts, confidentiality agreements, noncompete provisions, terminations, and severance. She also conducts compliance training designed to reduce workplace risk and strengthen employers’ responses when disputes or investigations arise under changing legal and regulatory standards.
Tracy Armstrong contributes to professional leadership and employment law education across New Jersey. She frequently presents to professional groups and edits the Employer’s Legal Resource blog, where she explains pending legal changes. The New Jersey Supreme Court appointed her to its Committee on the Unauthorized Practice of Law in 2022 and 2023. She also serves on District Ethics Committee VIII through August 2026.
