Tom D’Amore

Tom D’Amore is a nationally recognized trial lawyer with over three decades of experience focused on personal injury and wrongful death law. Known for his ethical integrity and litigation skill, Tom holds board certifications from the National Board of Trial Advocacy and the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys—the only such certified lawyer residing in Oregon.

Tom began his academic journey with dual degrees—a B.A. and a B.S.—from the University of Nevada, Reno, completed in 1985. He earned his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law. With this foundation, he also worked as a CPA at a Big 8 accounting firm before transitioning into full-time legal practice.

Tom has dedicated his legal career to representing people harmed in catastrophic injuries, trucking crashes, spinal cord trauma, and class actions. He is licensed in Oregon, Washington, and California, and has a reputation for taking on powerful insurance companies and negligent corporations to seek justice for clients.

Tom has received numerous honors, including the AV Preeminent rating for ethical standards and selection among Oregon’s Top 50 lawyers by Super Lawyers. He served as President of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association and on the Board of Governors for the American Association for Justice, where he helped shape policies that benefit plaintiffs nationwide.

Tom D’Amore continues to champion justice through expert legal advocacy and dedicated community service, leaving a powerful impact both in and outside the courtroom. He is the only attorney in Oregon certified in truck accident law by the ATAA and NBTA. His trial team secured the largest trucking verdict in the state’s history—$26.4 million—setting a benchmark for trucking litigation in Oregon and beyond.

Tom also shares his knowledge through teaching and publishing. He trains fellow lawyers in trial skills, accident reconstruction, insurance disputes, and legal writing. His contributions appear in leading legal manuals, including “Anatomy of a Personal Injury Lawsuit” and AAJ Press titles focused on auto injury litigation.
