About
Todd Bartimole is the founder of Cleveland Elder Law, where he advises families on elder law, estate planning, Medicaid eligibility, and long-term care concerns. He has practiced elder law since 1993. His work addresses how older adults and their relatives can prepare for care needs, protect available resources, and manage decisions involving nursing home expenses, benefits, and plans for family members who need ongoing support.
Todd earned an A.B. in Political Science from Ohio University and a Juris Doctor from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1993. Before becoming an attorney, he worked with a local Long Term Care Ombudsman program, advocating for older adults and their families. That experience showed him the challenges involved in obtaining appropriate long-term care and helped shape his continuing focus on the legal needs of aging clients.
Todd advises on estate planning, special needs planning, Medicaid benefits and planning, probate, trust administration, and nursing home protection. His practice helps families assess care costs and legal arrangements before a crisis, as well as respond when a relative already needs additional support. His work draws on knowledge of eligibility rules and the practical coordination required among family members, caregivers, and service providers.
Todd Bartimole regularly speaks to community audiences, lawyers, and other professionals about elder law, estate planning, and Medicaid eligibility. His public education work reflects an emphasis on making complex care-related legal issues easier for families to understand. Through counseling and planning, he helps clients prepare for future care decisions while keeping the legal and financial needs of older adults in view.
