About
Tobias Xavier Lopez leads the Fort Worth and Tarrant County criminal defense practice. He represents clients accused of misdemeanors and felonies throughout Fort Worth, Arlington, Keller, Hurst, Euless, and nearby communities. His practice includes driving while intoxicated (DWI), drug possession, assault, family violence, theft, robbery, expunctions, and nondisclosure orders. He also handles occupational driver’s license hearings, and he explains the choices clients may face throughout the criminal process.
Tobias completed a Bachelor’s degree at the University of Texas at Arlington. He earned his Juris Doctor from Texas A&M University School of Law in 2014. He was admitted to the Texas Bar in 2015. As a second-generation defense lawyer, he developed his trial abilities under an experienced criminal defense advocate. His education strengthened his legal analysis, advocacy, negotiation, and courtroom skills, which he uses in serious criminal cases.
Tobias has handled thousands of criminal matters, ranging from Class B misdemeanors to first-degree felony murder cases. He uses that experience to examine police reports, witness accounts, physical evidence, and procedural issues that may weaken the prosecution’s case. His representation may include negotiations, pretrial motions, evidentiary hearings, or trial preparation, depending on the charges and available defenses. Since July 2015, he has continued building his Tarrant County criminal defense practice. His familiarity with local courts helps him provide guidance based on each jurisdiction, allegation, and client objective.
Tobias Xavier Lopez belongs to the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and also belongs to the Tarrant County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. He combines determined advocacy with an accessible, transparent, and client-focused approach. His preparation helps clients understand difficult choices, while he develops strategies to protect their rights, records, and future opportunities. Through careful case review and direct communication, he supports people facing stressful allegations and uncertain court proceedings.
