About
Timothy Seaver is a partner at Seaver & Wagner, LLC in Anchorage who handles family-related disputes and a broader range of civil litigation for individuals and organizations. Since forming the firm in 2002, he has represented Alaskan families, employees, businesses, and nonprofit organizations. His background includes employment litigation, business disputes, and family matters, allowing him to approach contested cases with experience in both personal and organizational legal concerns.
Seaver graduated from Brown University with highest honors in 1987. After working for Philadelphia Legal Services for two years, he attended Harvard Law School and earned his Juris Doctor in 1993. He began private practice in Washington, D.C., focusing on employment law and especially class action litigation on behalf of employees. This academic and early professional background provided a strong foundation in complex litigation, legal analysis, and client advocacy.
After moving to Alaska in 1997, Seaver joined Middleton & Timme and handled litigation for individuals and entities, including Alaska Native Corporations and other businesses. After founding Seaver & Wagner, he continued to litigate a variety of matters and also served as a Hearing Officer for the Department of Early Education and Development. His experience spans employment issues, business disputes, civil litigation, and family-related conflict resolution.
Timothy Seaver combines more than two decades of Alaska practice with earlier experience in employee-side class actions and public-interest legal work. His practice reflects a broad litigation background and an ability to work with different types of clients, from families to businesses and nonprofit organizations. He helps clients understand contested issues, evaluate legal options, and pursue practical resolutions in matters that may involve negotiation, administrative proceedings, or courtroom litigation.
