Timothy M. Zwerner is a partner at Burr & Forman LLP and serves as Vice-Chair of the Real Estate Practice Group. He leads the firm’s multifamily housing and self-storage team, assisting clients with commercial real estate transactions valued at more than $3 billion. His practice focuses on acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, and development for private sponsors, equity investors, institutional lenders, and other major market participants.

Timothy earned his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and his B.A. from Furman University. His education provided the legal, financial, and business foundation necessary for his work in real estate, corporate, and financial services. Licensed in South Carolina, Florida, and Georgia, he draws on both academic achievement and practical experience to deliver counsel that supports complex transactions and strategic growth for his clients.

Timothy also represents clients in corporate and financing matters beyond real estate. He has advised founders, family offices, angel networks, and venture funds on corporate structuring, convertible note offerings, recapitalizations, and equity financings. His experience includes Series Seed, Series A, and Series B financings, as well as mergers and acquisitions ranging from under $10 million to more than $150 million. He provides thorough, strategic advice tailored to each client’s business objectives.

Recognized for his professional excellence, Timothy M.
