Timothy Lappen

Timothy Lappen is an attorney, Partner, Founder & Chairman of the Family Office Group and Luxury Home Group of Jeffer Mangels & Mitchell LLP, with more than 50 years of practice focused on serving clients as outside general counsel. He advises individuals, families, family offices, public companies, and private businesses on a wide range of significant legal matters. His work includes luxury homes, real estate, entertainment, business law, hospitality, intellectual property, tax, labor, litigation, land use, and estate planning. He represents entertainers, athletes, and clients managing substantial personal, property, philanthropic, and business interests.

Timothy earned his J.D. from UCLA School of Law and his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley. His academic background provided the foundation for a wide-ranging practice involving business, property, estate, and family office matters. He later maintained ties with UCLA School of Law through service as a trustee, including a term as president. His education supported his later work involving sophisticated transactions and legal planning.

Timothy represents clients in family office and luxury home matters involving estate planning, residential transactions, boundary disputes, land use, zoning, and litigation.
