Timothy F. Sweeney is a Cleveland, Ohio trial and appellate lawyer at the Law Office of Timothy Farrell Sweeney who represents clients in both civil rights law and criminal matters. He formed his own law practice in 1996 after more than eight years in the litigation department of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey, now known as Squire Patton Boggs. During law school, he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Ohio State Law Journal. After graduation, he clerked for Judge Nathaniel R. Jones of the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He was admitted to the Ohio bar in 1987 and is admitted before several federal courts, including the US Supreme Court, the Sixth Circuit, the Ninth Circuit, and federal district courts in Ohio and Illinois.
