Timothy B. Rode

Timothy B. Rode is a partner at Hardy McLean LLC in Santa Fe, New Mexico. His practice focuses on utilities, natural resources, environmental law, and administrative law. He advises clients in the energy and infrastructure sectors on contested proceedings, permitting, compliance, and litigation. Rode regularly appears before the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission and other state and federal agencies, helping clients address utility ratemaking, infrastructure approvals, and renewable energy development.

Rode earned a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 2012. He received a B.A., cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 2007, where he studied in the Commonwealth Honors College. This legal and undergraduate training supports his work on administrative records, regulatory requirements, and disputes involving energy and land use. He draws on that background when explaining complex agency decisions and legal options to clients.

Before returning to New Mexico, Rode practiced in New York City on land use, environmental regulation, and commercial litigation.
