Daniel A. Seff

Daniel A. Seff is a Member of MSK Attorneys in Burlington, Vermont. He represents individuals, businesses, and government entities in litigation, mediation, and arbitration. Daniel earned a J.D. from New York University School of Law in 1990 and a B.A. cum laude from the University of Vermont in 1987. He began his career at Proskauer in New York City. His education and early New York practice preceded his move to Vermont and later work at MSK. His litigation background encompasses commercial disputes, employment matters, Native American law, and representation of businesses, individuals, and government entities.

Daniel’s matters include insurance coverage claims for a state entity, property disputes on a Native American reservation, and disputes between automobile dealerships and manufacturers or distributors. He has also represented a federally recognized tribe and its police bodies in whistleblower litigation and condominium owners in claims against developers. His prior practice included commercial, employment, antitrust, securities, bankruptcy, banking, and products liability litigation.

Daniel A. Seff is admitted in Vermont and New York and before numerous federal courts and the St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Court. He aims to resolve disputes amicably where possible and litigates matters that cannot be settled. Commercial conflicts require assessment of legal merits, evidence, and the practical consequences of each option. His practice brings broad litigation experience to that assessment, from pre-trial proceedings through trial and appellate review.
