Thomas earned his law degree magna cum laude from Saint Mary’s School of Law. He also holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio. During law school, he served as a student attorney in the Center for Legal and Social Justice Criminal Clinic.

Thomas later served as a teaching assistant for the same criminal clinic, helping others learn key legal skills. Before joining the firm, he worked as a community supervision officer for the 198th/216th Judicial District. That role gave him direct knowledge of supervision rules and local court processes.

Thomas also gained criminal case experience as a student attorney with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Texas. He also worked with the 216th Judicial District of Texas Attorney’s Office, where he gained experience in criminal matters and state court litigation.

Thomas is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and is a member of the Texas Bar College. He is active in the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyer Association and the San Antonio Criminal Defense Lawyer Association. He also serves on the City of Kerrville Recovery Community Coalition Board.
