Thomas G. Oakes II

Thomas G. Oakes II is the founder of The Oakes Firm, a national trial firm serving the Greater Philadelphia area and New Jersey. He represents plaintiffs in personal injury and wrongful death matters, with particular focus on unsafe or defective products, auto accidents, roadside safety design, construction injuries, and workplace accidents. His practice centers on serious injury and loss caused by preventable accidents or unsafe products, combining litigation preparation with trial-focused advocacy for injured clients and families.

Mr. Oakes graduated with honors from Drexel University and earned his law degree from Villanova University School of Law, where he was a Dean’s Merit Scholar and served as class representative for all three years. He later earned an M.B.A. from Villanova School of Business while practicing law. His education combines legal analysis with business training, supporting the evaluation of complex injury claims, damages, litigation risk, and the practical decisions required during negotiation, discovery, and trial preparation.

Mr. Oakes has handled varied personal injury and wrongful death claims involving products, vehicles, roadway design, construction sites, and workplace incidents. He is licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and has been admitted pro hac vice in several additional states. He also spent a decade on the adjunct legal faculty at Temple University Beasley School of Law’s LL.M. in Trial Advocacy program, where he taught aspiring trial lawyers how to use courtroom technology effectively during litigation and trial.
