Thomas B. Olson

Thomas B. Olson is an attorney with Redford Law whose practice spans real estate, construction, estate, business, and commercial litigation. He has practiced for more than three decades and frequently serves as a mediator and arbitrator in real estate-based disputes. His litigation experience includes leases, real estate contracts, survey disputes, foreclosures, mortgage reformations, partitions, adverse possession, boundary disputes, easements, mechanics’ liens, construction claims, title issues, and other property-related conflicts.

Olson earned a B.A. from the University of Minnesota and a J.D. from the University of Miami. He entered Minnesota practice in 1979. His education and long litigation career support a practice that requires close review of property records, contracts, title documents, construction relationships, and disputed ownership interests. He is licensed in Minnesota and has handled matters in federal court, including appellate work before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.

Olson represents title insurers and insured parties and has litigated coverage and damage issues connected to real estate matters. His experience includes closing-agent liability, title-agent errors and omissions, mortgage priority disputes, surveyor liability, options and rights of first refusal, land registration matters, and construction disputes. He has also handled will and trust contests for proponents, opponents, fiduciaries, and interested parties. Thomas B. Olson has been selected to the Minnesota Super Lawyers list for more than twenty years.
