Tatyana A. Edwards-Behar

Tatyana A. Edwards-Behar, Esq., is a seasoned immigration attorney with more than 24 years of dedicated legal experience. She is recognized by the California State Bar as a Certified Specialist in Immigration and Nationality Law, a distinction that reflects her exceptional knowledge and commitment. Tatyana has successfully guided thousands of clients through the complex pathways of US immigration law.

Tatyana’s academic journey began at Moscow University, where she completed her early studies before moving to the United States. She earned her B.A. in Economics and later received an MBA in Finance from San Diego State University. She continued her legal education by obtaining a Juris Doctor from the University of Utah School of Law, solidifying her expertise in both business and law.

Tatyana is licensed to practice before the California Supreme Court, U.S. District Courts in the Central and Southern Districts of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Her appellate practice is extensive and has contributed to precedent-setting decisions in federal immigration law. Clients often rely on her legal insight to resolve cases that others find too challenging.

Tatyana is a highly engaged leader in the immigration law community. She has served as Treasurer for the San Diego Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and currently chairs the AILA ICE/ERO Liaison Committee, where she works directly on issues affecting immigration enforcement and policy. She is also an active member of the AILA Asylum Committee and the Practice Management Committee of AILA’s Rome District Chapter, underscoring her strong, ongoing commitment to immigration advocacy and best practices in immigration law.

She regularly publishes articles in Russian-language outlets and has hosted a radio program focused on U.S. immigration law.
