Susan M. Freedman is a dedicated litigation attorney specializing in business and real estate disputes at The Maloney Firm, APC. She represents both individual and entity clients in a wide range of commercial lawsuits and disputes in state courts, handling cases from start to trial. Her expertise covers issues such as breach of lease and contract, wrongful foreclosure, fraud, partnership and business corporate governance, tort disputes, partition actions, and breach of fiduciary duty. Susan is experienced in getting and defending temporary restraining orders, writs of attachment, and injunctions. Susan earned her B.A., cum laude, in Business Administration and Marketing from Mount St. Mary’s College in 1987. During her time there, she was a member of the Delta Epsilon Sigma National Scholastic Honor Society and appeared on the Dean’s List. She then earned her J.D. from Loyola Law School in 1990. Early in her career, Susan served as a law clerk to the United States Bankruptcy Judge Samuel L. Bufford in the Central District of California, gaining important experience in bankruptcy law.
Susan has experience representing several counties, including Barbara, Los Angeles, Riverside, Orange, Santa, San Bernardino, and Sonoma, primarily in property tax enforcement cases in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court throughout her career. She has worked on many complex commercial litigation cases, guiding clients through challenging legal disputes with practical solutions and careful attention to detail.
