Susan A. Hinsley is a family law attorney at Butler, Sevier, Hinsley & Reid PLLC, based in Memphis, Tennessee. She has more than 22 years of experience representing clients in a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, adoption, juvenile court proceedings, and post-divorce modifications.
Susan earned her J.D. from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis in 1999. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 1990.
Susan is a Rule 31 Listed Family Mediator with a focus on resolving family law disputes through mediation, including divorce and post-divorce issues. She is also trained in collaborative family law, providing clients with alternative approaches to conflict resolution.
Throughout her career, Susan has earned the respect of both clients and peers for her professionalism and ethical standards. She holds a BV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, reflecting a high to very high rating in both legal ability and ethical conduct.

She is a member of the Memphis Bar Association and served on the Board of Directors for the Young Lawyers Division in 2000 and 2001. She previously served with the Leo Bearman Sr. Chapter of the American Inns of Court.
