Stratton Taylor

Stratton Taylor is the senior partner at Taylor Foster Mallett Downs Ramsey & Russell, a Claremore, Oklahoma, law firm serving clients across the state. Taylor maintains an active trial practice and represents corporate clients in all three federal districts in Oklahoma, as well as in matters throughout Oklahoma’s 77 counties. His practice focuses on civil litigation, personal injury, insurance disputes, business matters, and complex trial work involving both plaintiff and defense issues.

Taylor earned his J.D. and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Tulsa. He also attended Claremore Junior College, now Rogers State University. His legal education and public service background provide a strong foundation for courtroom advocacy, strategic analysis, and practical problem solving in disputes involving individuals, businesses, utilities, insurers, and public entities.

Taylor has handled significant litigation matters in state and federal courts. His experience includes published decisions involving eminent domain, antitrust defense, nuisance class action defense, electric transmission line disputes, evidentiary appeals, and energy-related litigation. He also holds the record for the largest personal injury verdict in Rogers County history, a $10 million verdict, and obtained a $4 million jury verdict involving a land dispute.

Stratton Taylor is recognized for a legal career shaped by trial experience, public service, and leadership in Oklahoma law. Before returning to full-time practice, Taylor served in the Oklahoma House of Representatives and State Senate, where he became the longest-serving President Pro Tempore in state history.
