Stewart Salwin

Stewart Salwin is a Scottsdale criminal defense attorney and founder of Salwin Law Group. He represents people accused of misdemeanor and felony offenses throughout Arizona, with substantial experience in DUI cases and criminal litigation. His practice includes trials, pre-charging matters, appeals, assault, domestic violence, drug offenses, property crimes, theft, sex offenses, vehicular crimes, weapons charges, probation issues, and administrative agency proceedings connected to criminal cases.

Stewart graduated from Harvard Law School and Georgetown University. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he graduated cum laude, and completed undergraduate studies at Georgetown. His academic background preceded a career focused on courtroom work and criminal procedure. The combination of formal legal training and years spent handling criminal cases provides a foundation for evaluating evidence, procedural issues, defenses, plea options, and trial strategy.

Stewart previously worked as a prosecutor with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, where he resolved thousands of felony and misdemeanor cases and handled a large number of DUI matters. He has conducted more than seventy trials and uses his prosecution background to evaluate how the State builds and presents criminal cases. Since moving into defense work, he has represented clients through investigations, negotiations, administrative proceedings, and courtroom litigation.

Stewart Salwin has practiced in Arizona courts since 2009 and is admitted to the State Bar of Arizona.
