Steven Langer

Steven Langer is a seasoned immigration attorney based in Oklahoma City with a practice centered on special immigrant juvenile cases, family-based immigration, deportation defense, and the immigration consequences of criminal charges. With over three decades of legal experience, Mr. Langer is recognized nationally for his expertise in representing immigrant children and families facing detention and removal challenges.

Mr. Langer earned his J.D. from the University of Oklahoma in 1992, where he was a member of the American Indian Law Review and received the American Jurisprudence Award for Advanced Legal Research.

Mr. Langer is one of the country’s leading authorities on special immigrant juvenile status (SIJS), a highly specialized immigration pathway for minors under 18 in the U.S. who have been abandoned, neglected, or separated from one or both parents. He guides these children through the complex legal processes required to secure lawful permanent residence. In addition, he frequently represents families navigating family-based petitions (such as I-130, I-129F, and I-485) and individuals in deportation proceedings or with criminal immigration issues.

Mr. Langer has tried dozens of jury and bench trials in both state and federal courts and brings a strong courtroom presence and litigation background to his immigration practice. He is an Eagle Scout and member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He was nominated for Associate District Judge in 2003 by the Oklahoma Judicial Nominating Commission.

Steven Langer is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Oklahoma County Bar Association, and the Oklahoma Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Oklahoma, the Fifth and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
