Steven F. Lamb

Steven F. Lamb is of counsel at Vogel Law Firm in Fargo with more than 30 years of trial and appellate experience. His practice includes personal injury, property damage, insurance coverage, subrogation, highway contracts, eminent domain, administrative hearings, criminal matters, and appeals. He has worked in government, private practice, tribal prosecution, and insurance defense, giving him a broad perspective on litigation and contested legal proceedings.

Steven earned a J.D. from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 1985 and a B.S. from the University of Portland in 1981. He has also completed advanced trial training through programs associated with the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and the International Association of Defense Counsel. This education and skills training support his work in jury trials, appeals, administrative proceedings, and other matters requiring structured advocacy and evidentiary analysis.

His career has included five years as an Assistant Attorney General for the North Dakota Highway Department, private practice, part-time service as a tribal prosecutor for Standing Rock, and 21 years with American Family Mutual Insurance Company. Steven has tried more than 50 jury cases and has argued matters before federal, state, tribal, and appellate courts, including the North Dakota Supreme Court and the Eighth Circuit.

His background allows him to assess cases from both trial and appellate perspectives while accounting for procedural, evidentiary, and practical concerns.
