Tim earned his Juris Doctor from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 1997 and a B.S. in Economics from North Dakota State University in 1992. In law school, he served on the Board of Editors of the North Dakota Law Review, participated in the Environmental Law Society and national moot court competition, and was elected to the Order of the Coif. He also received the Best Oralist Award at the Pace University Environmental Law Moot Court competition.
Before joining Serkland Law Firm in 1999, Tim served as a law clerk to United States Magistrate Judge Karen Klein. His current practice includes complex estate, tax, and succession planning, business contracts and governance, and real estate matters. He works with individuals and organizations to structure plans, document relationships, and address legal issues before they become disputes. He has been a shareholder at Serkland Law Firm since 2006.
