Stephen Millan

With over three decades of legal experience, he has handled cases across federal and state courts, building a reputation for strategic defense and unwavering advocacy. His practice spans criminal law, DUI and traffic offenses, drug crimes, domestic violence, theft, fraud, expungements, and juvenile law.

Stephen earned his Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from Boston College in 1987 and subsequently received his Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law in 1990. He was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1991 and is licensed to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida as well as the U.S. Supreme Court. His educational foundation and extensive training laid the groundwork for his career as a prosecutor, judge, and defense attorney.

Before entering private practice, Stephen served as an Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County, where he prosecuted cases involving narcotics, robbery, felonies, and DUIs. Later, as a Miami-Dade Circuit Court Judge, he presided over hundreds of criminal and juvenile cases, gaining rare judicial insight into how cases are presented and decided. Today, he uses that insider perspective to craft effective defense strategies for clients facing serious charges.

Beyond the courtroom, Stephen is deeply committed to justice and community service. He has served with the Guardian Ad Litem Program to represent abused and neglected children and has offered pro bono legal assistance through initiatives such as Put Something Back.
